ROOMS/PROPERTY

Check-in/Check-Out Procedures

Check-in:     3:00 PM

Check-out: 11:00 AM‍


All units are self-check-in and check-out. You will receive a unique key code via text and email 24 hours before your arrival. This is your entry code for the entirety of your stay.


Minimum check-in age is 22.


Early Check-In/Late Check-Out

We understand that your travel plans may not always align with our standard check-in time. That's why we offer the flexibility of early check-in on a case-by-case basis, starting at 1:00 PM for a $50 fee.

Please note that your key code will not work before the 3:00 PM Check-In time, so you must have prior approval for early check-in in order to access your room.


As a small hotel, we can rarely accommodate late check-outs. Please alert us if you are having issues checking out on time. Unapproved check-outs after 11:00 AM will incur a $50 fee per hour. After 1:00 PM, a full night’s rate will be charged.


Non-Smoking Property

East Rock Inn is a smoke-free property. No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in guest rooms, common rooms, or the grounds. A $300 minimum will be charged to the credit card on file if there is evidence of smoking in the rooms or on the property.


NO hot plates or other cooking devices are allowed in rooms other than those supplied by East Rock Inn.


Personal Property

We are not responsible for personal items that may be lost, damaged, or stolen in guest rooms or on the property, including those placed in the lost and found. Safes are provided in each room for guests' use, and we encourage you to use them.

Guests are responsible for shipping charges if they leave an item behind and want it to be mailed back to their home or another location.


Damages to East Rock Inn Property

Upon housekeeping inspection after check-out, we reserve the right to charge your credit card for any missing or damaged items in guest rooms. No laundry or wet towels/bathing suits may be hung outside of rooms.


Setting off of fire/smoke alarms from vaping, smoking or cooking in the rooms will result in a $250 minimum charge.


Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure the undisturbed sleep of our guests. Excessive noise may result in an additional charge and possible termination of your stay without a refund.


Occupancy

All guests must comply with the maximum occupancy outlined in the room description upon booking. Hosting additional, unregistered guests in any unit will result in an additional night's charge per person per night at the published rate for the nights in question and may result in the termination of your stay without a refund.


No Parties or Events are allowed in the guest rooms. Parties will result in immediate


PET POLICY

We welcome well-behaved dogs under the following conditions:

  • A pet-friendly room must be booked for your stay.
  • Two rooms are set aside for a dog visit: a King Studio Room and a Double Queen Studio Room. These rooms are clearly titled "Pet-Friendly" on our booking page. If the rooms do not appear on your specified dates, they are already booked, but you can call us to check on availability.
  • A pet fee of $35/night (plus tax) will be added to your reservation. For stays longer than 4 nights, please contact us for a custom fee.
  • Trained service animals, as defined under the ADA, are not subject to the pet fee. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals do not qualify as service animals under the ADA, though we know they provide invaluable service to their owners. However, they are not exempt from the fee.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times on the grounds of the property and in common spaces.
  • Dogs may not be left alone in the room unless crated.
  • Dogs may only go to the bathroom on the driveway.
  • Owners must clean up after their dog and place dirty poop bags in the black garbage bin near Room 18.
  • A minimum $250 fee may be assessed upon housekeeping inspection at check-out if additional room cleaning is necessary or damage is visible in the room.
  • Only dogs are allowed under the pet policy. No other pets may stay at East Rock Inn.


REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS


Non-refundable rates and promotions are not entitled to a refund under any circumstances. Cancelations will not receive a refund or a credit for a future stay.

Standard Rate: A full refund will be given if the reservation is canceled by 15 days before arrival. No refunds or credits will be given within 14 days of arrival. Reservations made within 14-6 days of arrival are non-refundable after 24-hours of booking confirmation.

Reservations made within 5 days of arrival are non-refundable upon booking.


Please note: Reservations made through 3rd party travel sites such as Expedia, Booking.com, AirBnB and other OTAs may have different cancelation policies. We will not refund canceled reservations or modify reservations under any circumstances made through 3rd party sites.


No-shows will not be granted refunds or future stay credit and will be charged for the full length of stay.


Group Bookings & Longer Stays:

For bookings of 3+ rooms or for stays of 5+ days in any of our rooms and suites made on our website or partner OTA site, cancellations 31+ days prior to arrival day will result in a fee of $50 per canceled room. Cancellations in all or part of the reservation within 30 days of arrival will be charged the full reservation amount for each room. These policies may vary depending on the number of rooms booked, pre-arranged special pricing, or custom packages.


Two-Bedroom Apartment:

Our biggest and most complete accommodation is set up for groups of up to 7 guests and short-term rental stays. As such, the cancellation and refund policies follow a more traditional short-term rental policy.


For stays of 2-4 days: Full refund for cancellations made within 24 hours of booking if the check-in date is 15+ days away. No refund is given within 14 days of arrival.

For stays of 5+ days: Full refund if canceled within 24 hours of booking and at least 30 days before check-in. After 24 hours, no refunds are given. The reservation is non-refundable upon booking if made within 30 days of the arrival date.


Two-Bedroom Apartment House Rules

  • For longer stays, guests are responsible for disposing of kitchen and apartment trash in designated outdoor trash bins. No trash may be left in the backyard or on the walkway. We’d rather not have raccoons and bears dining on our doorstep!
  • Basic cleaning supplies, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, and coffee/tea are provided in this unit, but it is the guest's responsibility to replenish these items at their own expense for stays of more than 5 days.
  • Housekeeping will be provided after the 3rd night of a stay for stays less than 6 days.
  • For longer stays, weekly or semi-weekly housekeeping may be arranged at an additional charge.
  • Please take care when cooking and using the kitchen appliances. A fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink for emergency use.
  • Absolutely no parties are allowed in the apartment, and the motel’s quiet hours must be observed. 
  • Maximum Occupancy for this unit is 7 guests.
  • Guest(s) agree that a confirmed booking is merely a license granted by East Rock Inn to the Guest to enter and use the unit for the limited duration of the confirmed booking and in accordance with all motel policies and conditions.


Rate policies:

East Rock Inn reserves the right to change and adjust their rates anytime, for any reason. No price adjustments will be given for confirmed reservations. Any change or modification to an existing reservation at the guest's request is subject to the current published rate on eastrockinn.com. If a guest cancels a non-refundable reservation or is within the 14-day no-cancelation period, East Rock Inn reserves the right to resell the room.
